MARKETING SKILLS TEST

The marketing skills test (45 minutes) is designed to assure you of your preparedness for MARK 460.

The test will revisit your knowledge of MARK 160, MARK 260, MARK 366, and Team Management, as well as your ability to conduct a CASE ANALYSIS on your own. Students may opt (at your own discretion) to replace the grade received on this pre-learning assessment with the score they earn on the TERM TEST later in the course.

Students who have completed the necessary pre-requisites for this course should only need review their past studies. If you are unfamiliar with the IVEY CASE methodology taught in MARK 260, you may want to visit the Library and read the first 4 chapters of "Learning With Cases" on reserve there. Be knowledgeable of how to prepare the case prep sheet. Teams will be expected very early in the course to prepare a case analysis and pitch their solution near the beginning of the course. If you are uncomfortable with case analysis, please see your professor before the Marketing Skills test to discuss and help prepare yourself.

This is not encouraged as teams expect all of their members to be able to perform at a high level. This marketing skills test is designed to help assure you of your ability to perform at the necessary level for your team. If you need assistance to expedite and prepare your skill sets please talk to your professor in the first week of classes.
