  1. What is historical revisionism?  What are the factors which cause it to occur?
  2. What is Angell's argument with respect to the European powers?  What do you think of his argument, in light of what would shortly occur after this was published?
  3. What is Barnes' basic argument?
  4. What is the basis of Barnes' revisionism?  In terms of timing, why do you think it occurred when it did?
  5. What is the basis of Fay's revisionism?  What is his basic argument?
  6. How would Barnes' and Fay's revisionism be more acceptable at that time then later?
  7. What was Fritz Fischer's argument (often referred to as the Fischer Thesis)?  Why was it considered so controversial?
