Photographs:  America at the Turn of the Century

The following photographs are by the photographer Lewis Hine, depicting some of the conditions of urbanization and industrialization during the period 1908 to 1912.  In particular, Hine was concerned about the problems of child labour.  While they are not part of the required essay material,  it would be very beneficial to spend some time examining them to help provide a better understanding of the conditions and problems described in the required essay documents.
