COURSE INTRODUCTION
This course provides an introduction to geographic information systems (GIS) with an emphasis on spatial and attribute data issues (data management, quality, models, and structures) and analytical operations (query, buffer, overlay, spatial interpolation). Satellite imagery is also examined.
SCOPE & CREDIT
This course is a requirement for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts - Geography Major and Bachelor of Natural Resource Protection programs. This course is also an elective for other programs. Credits: 3
