17 June 1782:

From Fiume comes the news that for some time many foreigners have arrived there, and in the early days of this month, Mr. von Bolts, Director of the Triestine East India Company, together with the English captain, Mr. Digson [George Dixon], arrived in this city. After inspecting the harbour, which he found very suitable for building ships to his satisfaction, he expressed the wish that the said company would take the decision to build their ships there.
