Hamburg, August 24 [1787]. On the expedition that the Empress of Russia will send to the East Indies to establish commerce with those regions will embark an astronomer, a botanist, a draughtsman, and an historian - who, we have been assured, will be the famous Professor Forster. The remainder of those who to be assigned the said commissions will be named by Mr. Palas.
