What is out there???

Scientists from the Vancouver Planetarium have noticed a new planet traveling towards our galaxy.  If they did their math right then this new planet will land and make its home right between Mercury and Jupiter.  Scientists have noticed that it has many of the same characteristics as Mars, Venus, Saturn and Pluto.  What do you and your partner think this planet will look like?

YOUR SPACE MISSION

Hooray, you and your friend have been chosen by the Vancouver Planetarium to complete a secret mission into outer space.  You need to visit Mars, Venus, Saturn and Pluto to gather scientific information about each planet.  Scientists want you and a partner to figure out what this new planet will look like.  Using the information that you have collected about each of the four planets you will use the program KID PIX to design what you think the new planet will look like.  So put on your space caps and have a blast.

YOU DID IT

Great job space detective's.  The Vancouver Planetarium thanks you very much for the time and effort you put in creating an imaginary planet.  It has helped them picture what this new planet will look like.  You not only helped but I hope you learned something as well.  If you are interested in learning more there are five planets you can still discover.  Just go to the web sites provided and find the HOME button and it will take you to these other planets.
