TASK:
This webquest involves a critical
thinking challenge in which students are asked to consider wether the Loch
Ness Monster could really exist. Students are not required to come up with
a yes or no answer, but rather, explore the possibilities. The assignment
is broken up into several components, the procedures of which are listed
below. To preview the webquest itself click on home at the bottom of this
page and then select LET'S GO! From
there you just simply follow the task section! If you have any further
questions about the webquest we can be contacted at the following e-mail

PROJECT
HINTS:
Length:
It is difficult to estimate the amount of time it will take for students
to complete this project. There are a number of variables which will
influence the time frame for the assignment such as: prior knowledge and
familiarity with computers or programs used, amount of lab time per week,
class level, and teacher's expectations, etc. We assume it should
take around three weeks to complete if each student has about 3 hours a
week to work on the project.
Tech Skills Needed: Students will need a good grasp of Word, Kid-pix, basic skills such as toggling, internet navigation, and file management. These basic tasks or others may need to be taught as the unit progresses.

should follow webquest directions to work through the project. The LETS
GO! section outlines the order of steps students should go through.
