This lesson is based on the assumption that your students are able to master basic on-line research skills.  A quick lesson in this may be necessary before starting.  The lesson may also have to be adapted or extended according to students' abilities.  Suggestions for this are listed below.

Adaptations

1. Create a Kidpix poster of your favorite mythological figure or create your own rather than writing your own myth.
2. Pair students together to complete the webquest. Possibly pairing a weaker student with one that has technology experience.
3. The length of the final paper can be reduced from 2 pages to 1 page for students that may have difficulties with writing a full 2 pages.

 Extensions

1. Use Kidpix to create a poster to go along with the myth that you have created.
2. Using your newfound knowledge of mythology, create a modern myth that would relate to the present day.
3. Students can present their myths and/or posters to the rest of the class.
