Description & Objectives
This course is designed to develop confidence and skill in public speaking. Students will learn how to plan, organise, and present formal speeches, as well as how to speak in various public situations (meetings, news conferences, and so forth). An important part of the course is evaluating the speeches of others; thus, the "participation" component of evaluation includes mandatory attendance at all student speeches. At times, speeches will be taped; students will also be required to provide a written self-evaluation of one of their own speeches.Course Requirements
