Bachelor of Science Mathematics Minor

Approved:  B.A. Minor in Mathematics

 The Board, upon recommendation of Education Council, approved a    new Bachelor of Arts, Minor in Mathematics.  The minor meets the needs of Arts/Humanities and Social Science students, particularly those seeking a career as secondary school mathematics teachers and whose other interests may be outside the area of science.

The B.A. Minor in Mathematics is offered in addition to the Bachelor of Science, Minor in Mathematics that was approved by the Ministry in September 2003.

Mathematics Minor at Vancouver Island University provides an ideal opportunity for all those who enjoy Mathematics to study the subject as part of their BA or BSc degree programme.

Students come to Malaspina with different mathematical backgrounds, and we offer a variety of programmes of study tailored to suit their needs. Students find that Mathematics combines naturally with all subjects on offer at Vancouver Island University.
