The notion of credibility as it relates to electronic scholarly publishing is of the utmost importance.  For the Humanities and Social Sciences Federation of Canada, faculty at the University of Victoria, the University of New Brunswick, Université de Montréal, McMaster University, and Malaspina University-College are undertaking an exploration of the urgent issues relating to the perception -- and ultimately the use -- of electronic publication within the Canadian academic community.  In its exploration of issues relating to the perception and employment of electronic publication within the Canadian academic community, this team will produce a report, at the centre of which will be a series of recommendations on how to enhance the credibility of electronic and online publishing.
