Information or links on this Page

What educational background do I need to get into the Crim program?

See our online Calendar for what you need to enter either the Diploma or BA. The main requirements are that students have completed Grade 12 (minimum C+ in English 12, and minimum C in Principles of Math 11).

What happens if I don't have Grade 11 Math or English 12 with a C+ or better?

You will not be coded as a CRIM student in the registration system. This means that you will not be able to register in courses reserved for criminology students. However, you can still apply when you have upgraded your math or English through Career & Academic Preparation Programs.

Can I be accepted into the Crim program if I am upgrading to Grade 11 Math and/or English 12?

No. You must first have the prerequisites. However, you can still enroll in university-transferable courses and later use those to count as electives towards your Diploma. Once you have Math 11 and English 12, you can apply to the program.Criminology courses taught in Duncan are not reserved. If there is space available, you may be able to register in one of these courses.
