Visitor Information

The Congress will be held on the Nanaimo Campus of Malaspina University-College in British Columbia. Malaspina is a comprehensive University-College, which has played an active role in the cultural and economic life of the Central Vancouver Island region since 1969. Over the years Malaspina University-College has grown into an institution that serves more than 7,500 full-time students. The Nanaimo campus is located on a spectacular 75-hectare site overlooking the city of Nanaimo, Georgia Strait, and the B.C. coastal mountain range.

Nanaimo, also known as the “Harbour City”, acts as a gateway to the serene and idyllic Vancouver Island region. The Island region is blessed with great natural beauty of mountains, forests and seashore, a temperate climate, and many opportunities for outdoor recreation. Conference delegates will be in close proximity to a diversity of regional attractions such as Victoria, the provincial capital, the Gulf Islands or the rugged west coast.
