Transportation Welcome
to CCLR 11 transportation links. Nanaimo
is located on beautiful Vancouver
Island
on the West Coast of BC. Being
an island, there are a number of interesting and scenic transportation
alternatives available to you.
The
easiest and most direct way to arrive at CCLR 11 is to fly direct into
the Nanaimo/Cassidy Airport, serviced by Air Canada, and take the
shuttle (see Motorcoach/Shuttle Link for
arrangements and email nanaimoairportshuttleservice@shaw.ca)
to downtown Nanaimo or Malaspina University College Campus. HARBOURLYNX foot passenger ferry service Downtown Vancouver to Downtown Nanaimo offer: 20% DISCOUNT TO DELEGATES: PROOF OF CONFERENCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED: From Vancouver Airport: At the luggage pick-up there is a Airporter Bus Shuttle that will take you to the Pan Pacific at Canada Place. This is located right next to Harbourlynx - so the walk is about a block and a half. The cost for the airporter is $12 per person and takes approx. 40 min. From the HarbourLynx terminal to the Vancouver Airport: There is a Shuttle service that meets each of Harbourlynx's sailings - City Centre Shuttle - He will take you directly to the airport for $13 per person, again the ride is approx. 40 min. Nanaimo is linked to the mainland by two major BC Ferry routes; Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay and Tsawwassen to the new Duke Point Terminal, just south of Nanaimo. Also if you are traveling as a foot passenger, ground transportation is available. General
